Creating soothes the soul. I know this is true because I've lived it myself... again and again.
And when we create alongside other soul sisters, something profoundly beautiful happens.
So I invite you to join me... my hope and prayer is that you will also discover rest for your soul through art and find a soul sister or two along the way.
Each soulful art project I design combines simple mixed media art with deep matters of the heart... both help soothe and heal.
Self-reflection, prompts, quotes, verses, words and symbols... some hidden and others the main focus... are all carefully chosen to help you find rest for your soul.
Every project is a simple but powerful creative journey that results in a piece of art that brings peace of heart and rest for your soul.
Projects include mixed media on canvas, in a journal, in your Bible or even on a piece of cardboard.
No artistic skill is required! Pre-designed motifs and images are included so beginners can easily participate while experienced artists can also do their thing!
Whether online or in person, the only requirement is a willingness to be vulnerable along the way and trust the process.
And when we create together in community, soul sisters are born.
Gathering to create is a sacred experience... it becomes a safe space for our soul stories to gently unfold.

SOUL SISTER COMMUNITY
In a world where loneliness is an epidemic and it's easy to isolate, I feel called to provide more opportunities where women can gather to share and encourage one another as we create together.
In-person is always ideal, but not always an option... so we will also occasionally gather online as soul sisters to help connect and build community.
Decades ago...
I had had a horrible day and simply wanted to crawl into my pajamas and disappear into mindless TV.
But my new friend, Christy Riopel, invited me to a mixed media class she was teaching that evening. I didn’t have the energy. I didn’t want to go back out. And yet… something tugged at me to say yes.
That simple art project not only gave me deep rest for my soul as I created, but also changed the trajectory of my life...
PAYING IT FORWARD
Know that a minimum of 10% of all proceeds from ART with Allison is donated to non-profits close to my heart.
Also certain projects or events will be designated as "fundraisers" that donate up to 100% of profits to special causes.
Most of the chosen organizations help women and children in need around the world... like this schoolgirl in Haiti holding a flag Christy Riopel made.
